Hey y’all! My name is Rose Pham and I am the Women’s Team Lead for the Inscape Center for Personal Vocation’s Formation Year Program! I am the eldest of six and was brought up in a very wild and loving Catholic home in the Deep South of Mobile, Alabama. Inscape is an answered prayer! I joined because Our Mother Mary gifted me this opportunity knowing full well how the role I have in cultivating personal vocation is tailor-made to my heart. I reverence the individual person of Christ in front of me and love seeing their unique beauty. I truly believe that once every soul is living fully alive in the awareness of their personal vocation, the consolation of Christ’s wounds, as we are The Mystical Body of Christ, will be so profoundly great.
For the past few months, it has been an incredible joy to be deeply invested in by the formation team as they help us cultivate our own unique calling. Of course, we cannot keep such a great gift to ourselves! It has been our privilege to know, love, and serve the most neglected in the community. Our weekly apostolates are the Sycamore Youth Center, an after-school program which hosts hundreds of children from the impoverished area, and the Urban Mission, where we accompany women living at a local homeless shelter.
Each day brings new surprises as our friends let us share in their lives. We might find ourselves admiring the woodburning talents of students, learning how to make paper airplanes with a woman from the shelter, sharing our testimony, hosting Bible studies, or listening compassionately as a woman describes her struggles. In all these things, we seek to reveal the gaze of Christ to others, that they may recognize the beauty of their unrepeatable story.
In order to pursue this year of intensive formation and service, I need your support. This new venture in my life is entirely dependent on the prayers and financial support of my mission partners.
